W15: Your Sketch: As Rich as Reality!

$140.00

WORKSHOP
W15

Saturday morning

Oliver Hoeller

Reality is richer than a sketch of one fixed vantage point. Out and about, we are constantly scanning our surroundings for what interests us. We see, we hear, we smell and we feel all while time passes and our scene changes. How can we capture this in a sketch?

In this workshop we will play with approaches to simultaneously give a sense of place and show details we care about. We explore strategies to add what we hear and how we feel about it, as well as depicting the passage of time.

Oliver will demonstrate a set of tools to this end, before participants will have time to implement them in their own way. Oliver will help throughout one-on-one with any challenges that arise.

Materials:

Oliver will be using a black fineliner, grey markers (Tombow ABT N95, N65, N45, N15), watercolors and perhaps some acrylic pens. However, these are not necessary. This workshop can be done with any sketching tools that you like to use.
