W13: The Full Picture — Sketching Your Entire Experience

$140.00

WORKSHOP
W13

Saturday morning

Genine Carvalheira

In this workshop we will explore storytelling techniques to create dynamic two-page spreads using multiple sketches to capture the rich experiences of the places we visit and live. You’ll learn to pause, engage all your senses, and combine sketches with written observations to narrate the complete story of your experience including what makes each place unique beyond its physical appearance.

Supply list:

Your favorite sketchbook or paper:

  • Preferably A5 or larger as we will be creating a two page spread consisting of multiple sketches. If you work smaller than A5, you could accordion or fold a single sheet of paper for this workshop. (I generally use sketchbooks in A4 landscape format or larger than 8” square.)

Your favorite sketching supplies:

  • At least two pens with different color inks. (I always carry at least one black pen and will additionally have with me blue, brown, red & gray.)
  • Optional: Any supplies you like to use to add color. (I carry a simple watercolor set, a few color pencils & watercolor pencils.)
