TALK & LEARN
TL1 |
Friday afternoon |
Eduardo Bajzek |
We will start with a short talk about the main differences between the linear and the painterly approaches, a topic developed in the book “Principles of Art History,” by Heinrich Wölfflin. We will study a few images from the old masters, so we can compare both systems and see how realism in art has developed through time until it reached its peak by the end of the nineteenth century and beyond. Following this discussion, I will show some of my experiences in painterly approach using markers and graphite and will encourage participants to try and see for themselves the potential of this practice.
