Elizabeth Person’s love of maps led her to a niche career as a mapmaker. In this session, she will share her experience working as an informational artist specializing in illustrated maps and expand our understanding of what “map” means. With clients from Backpacker Magazine to Mountaineers Books, Elizabeth will show how maps offer context and a deeper relationship to places near and far from home.
