Finding your Focus: Lessons from Sketching in the Arctic

Workshop description
As sketchers, we so often find ourselves with a bounty of sketching subjects to choose from. Whether in a big city or in an Arctic fjord, it helps us to have a process for finding a good subject out of so many options. This workshop uses lessons from sketching in the Arctic, using a few steps to warm up, find your subject and the materials that fit when you’re feeling overwhelmed.
Supplies
- Three or more different types of materials of your choosing, e.g., a fine liner, colored pencils, watercolors.
- A sketchbook or loose paper; if using a sketchbook, a second small sketchbook or loose paper may come in handy.
