Street Life Energy: Capturing the Saturday Market

Edmonds’ Summer Market, held on Saturdays, oozes with small town spirit of place and the energy of street life. And the surrounding historic buildings, especially the Edmonds Historical Museum (housed in the 1910 Carnegie Library building), set today’s market firmly in this town’s history and character. You’ll learn to use quick lively lines, techniques for drawing people and strategic use of dramatic blacks and color to capture the spectacle of the crowd, the market tents with their wares, and their architectural backdrop, as well as funky signs and other details. We may even grab an ice cream. Let’s go!
