Dimensional Thumbnails and Dynamic Compositions
Have you wanted to draw your surroundings but didn’t know how or where to start, or how much information to include in your piece? This workshop aims to encourage attendees to plan their compositions on location, before starting to draw. The exercises encourage you to start with making viewfinders, flat thumbnails and dimensional thumbnails before choosing a subject, vantage point and composition on location. We will talk about how to include diagonals, direction of line and mark-making to emphasize depth and energy. The class will end with attendees receiving feedback on one final finished black and white piece.
