Community Sketch Walk

Join us for the free community sketch walk on Sunday, July 21, from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.

  • Meetup: We’ll gather as a group at the Edmonds Waterfront Center at 11:30.
  • Sketching Time: Over the next two and a half hours, sketch whatever inspires you—whether it’s the scenic waterfront, local architecture or quirky details.
  • Throwdown: At 2:00 p.m. we’ll have a “throwdown.” It’s a chance to meet other sketchers, chat, catch up with friends and enjoy our community of sketchers.

Post your sketches: Don’t forget to share your sketches on social media using the hashtags #sketcherfest and #uskseattle.

This event is sponsored by Urban Sketchers Seattle.

Kate Buike

I retired from VA Social Work in 2011.  In February 2012 I returned to art when I discovered Urban Sketching after seeing Gabi Campanario on local TV talking about his first book.  I’m one of the admins for USk Seattle.

Kim Roberts

After 3 decades as a Japanese teacher to public high school students, Kim retired . . . and discovered the urban sketching community. She’d trained in oils before college and came back to the art world to figure out watercolors. Still on that quest, she loves catching people in action, local sites and landscapes. Her favorite tools are her Neocolor water-soluble wax pastels and her Sailor fude pen.
