Schedule overview
Welcome Ambassadors
Greet attendees and check tickets at the Waterfront Center, helping create a friendly and smooth arrival experience.
What you will do:
- Welcome attendees to Artist Talks and the Sketchbook Fair, checking their tickets using the FooEvents app and your phone camera.
- Hand out programs and wristbands.
- Manage the flow of attendees into the venues.
- Field questions from attendees and help them navigate the venues.
- At the Waterfront Center, remind festivalgoers to visit the Sketch Lounge upstairs.
Commitment:
- Sign up for a minimum of 2 shifts of approximate 2 to 2.5 hours each.

- Invitation to join Guest Artists aboard the “Seattle Ice Cream Cruise” on one of two sailings along the Lake Washington Ship Canal planned before Sketcher Fest (Thursday, July 9, 3 to 5 p.m. or Friday, July 10, 10 to noon.)
- Bragging rights as a Sketcher Fest Ambassador!
Room Crew
Help set up and dismantle event spaces at the Waterfront Center.
What you will do:
- Set up and tear down chairs for Artist Talks at the Waterfront Center.
- Move boxes with books and other merchandise.
- Load and unload boxes and equipment and merchandise from event rental van.
- Assemble and dismantle gridwalls for artists displays.
- Set up and tear down exhibit hall space and other rooms at the Waterfront Center.
- Cover Sketchbook Fair tables with black tablecloths.
Commitment:
- Sign up for a minimum of 2 shifts of approximate 2 to 2.5 hours each.
Perks:
- Access to Sketchbook Fair and Artist Talks
- Saturday evening shift Room Crew volunteers also get access to the Artists’ Reception
- Invitation to join Guest Artists aboard the “Seattle Ice Cream Cruise” on one of two sailings along the Lake Washington Ship Canal planned before Sketcher Fest (Thursday, July 9, 3 to 5 p.m. or Friday, July 10, 10 to noon.)
- Bragging rights as a Sketcher Fest Ambassador!
Artist Liaison
Support Guest Artists throughout the festival by assisting at their workshops, talks and the Sketchbook Fair. (Each Artist Liaison supports one Guest Artist.)
What you will do:
- Welcome workshop participants at ArtWorks and check their tickets using the FooEvents app and your phone camera.
- Hand out programs and wristbands.
- Lead attendees alongside Guest Artist to the workshop location.
- Run errands for Guest Artist as needed (i.e. picking up their lunch during the Sketchbook Fair or watching their table during a break.)
- Take photos and video during the artist’s workshop (including final group photo), artist talk and at their Sketchbook Fair table.
- Post photos and video on your own Instagram account throughout the weekend, adding @sketcherfest as collaborator and using hashtags #sketcherfes2026 and #edmondswa
- Email photos and videos to info@sketcherfest.com via Google Drive or wetransfer.com by July 19.
Commitment:
- You must be available for the duration of Sketcher Fest, July 11-12
