Less is More: Slow Travel Sketching

Slow travel is a natural companion to on-location sketching, but we all still feel the pressure to see it all – an impossible task. I will share experiences and sketches from a variety of my travels, from traversing New Zealand in a camper van to cycling a famous path in Japan. The journeys highlight how spending more time in fewer locations led to deeper connections with locals and a richer understanding of place.

Eleanor Doughty
