Save the date for Sketcher Fest Edmonds

The first travel sketchbooks festival in the United States is coming to beautiful Edmonds, Washington. Mark your calendar for July 14-16, 2023.

For centuries artists have used sketchbooks to record their travel experiences. Sketcher Fest wants to celebrate this accessible art practice with a weekend-long event open to all.

What can you do at Sketcher Fest?

  • Participate in outdoor sketching workshops. Learn sketching techniques from accomplished urban sketchers with years of experience capturing the world in their sketchbooks.
  • Visit the sketcher’s expo and marketplace. Meet exhibiting sketchers and see their original travel sketchbooks at the new Edmonds Waterfront Center. Prints, postcards, books and sketching supplies will be available for sale at the event’s marketplace.
  • Go on free sketchwalks led by members of the Seattle-area urban sketching community.

Who will be teaching and presenting their travel sketchbooks?

Sketcher Fest guest artists include renowned local, national and international urban sketchers. Some will teach workshops, others will present their sketchbooks at the sketcher’s expo.
