Free sketch walks hosted by Cascadia Art Museum

Sketcher Fest is less than two months away and we have some good news to share:

Cascadia Art Museum will host two free Sketch Walks on Saturday, July 15, and offer all-day free admission to everyone who participates. Book your free tickets now:

Saturday Morning Sketchwalk. 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Saturday Afternoon Sketchwalk. 2 to 4 p.m.

Everyone is welcome to join the Sketch Walks and no art experience is required. Just bring a pencil and a sketchbook and join members of the Urban Sketchers Seattle community for two hours of outdoor sketching around the museum premises or inside the galleries (only pencil if you sketch inside!) Each Sketch Walk ends with a collective sketchbook “throw-down” and a group photo. During a sketchbook throw-down, sketchers place their sketchbooks on the ground for everyone to see.

Want to join other Sketcher Fest events?

Come down to the brand-new Edmonds Waterfront Center on Sunday for our Sketchbook Fest and Art Market (Adults: $10. Children 15 and under: Free) or our Closing Reception ($45).

During both of these events you can meet and greet invited artists and see their original sketchbooks. Books, prints and art supplies will be available for sale. There’s never been an event like this in the United States. Think of it as the Comic-Con of urban sketchers! You’ll leave the event full of inspiration and all the materials you need for your own travel sketching adventures.

We can’t wait to welcome you to beautiful Edmonds and the greater Seattle area in July!
